Dental Crowns
A Dental Crowns is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed on a broken or damaged tooth to provide a full tooth structure. Dental crowns are a permanent solution to worn down or chipped teeth and provide a great result for people who need a broken tooth fixed. Crowns are used when there is still a good amount of solid tooth structure left in the mouth so that a “post” can be created to fix the crown onto. Once in place, the crown will look and feel just like a regular tooth in the mouth.
Crowns can be particularly effective in holding together a cracked tooth and they can also be utilised to help hold a bridge unit in place in the mouth.
Crowns can be made in all sorts of different materials such as Stainless steel, Alloys of precious metals, porcelain fused to metal, all ceramic or all specialist composite resin. Often times a temporary crown can be supplied quickly to act as a stopgap while a more detailed crown is made to order. We work with some of the best technical labs in the UK to create crowns that are very realistic.
