Why would I want Airflow?
The most common reason we find patients wanting airflow is because they are unhappy with staining on their teeth. It you want a brighter smile but don’t want to undergo a course of teeth whitening, then this may be an ideal option for you. The base colour of your teeth won’t be changed, but removing any staining you have can make a big difference. Airflow is also an excellent choice to have just before whitening so you get the best of both worlds.
Airflow can also remove tougher build ups of plaque quicker than just a scale and polish alone. If you suffer with sensitive teeth, you may prefer an airflow instead as no heat is generated and there is no direct contact with the teeth.
How does airflow work?
The procedure is straightforward and utilises a mixture of compressed air, water and powder to thoroughly clean any stains that may be on your teeth. Airflow is great for tackling stains from:

Is there anything Airflow can’t be used on?
Airflow is a very safe treatment that has no detrimental effects. If you have dental implants, bridges, crowns or veneers it is perfectly safe to have your teeth treated using this method.
