28th February 2022 STOURCOTE CONTINUES WITH COVID 19 PROTECTION MEASURES. Despite the recent relaxation of all restrictions and regulations relating to covid 19 by the UK Governement The NHS has indicated that in its health settings they will continue with current precautions for all patients and as a practice we will continue to do the same. This will mean that we will continue asking our patients to visit us with a mask on and our staff will continue with their current health and safety and hygiene measures to reduce the risk of transmission of covid 19. including air purifiers, wipe down sanitisation procedures wearing masks and face covering and ensuring that the cleaning routines we have established are maintained. We will continue these procedures for the health and well being of all our patients including those who may be more vulnerable and we appreciate your cooperation with this as we continue to serve you in these difficult times. August 2020 Update
Important COVID-19 Update:
Important information for our patients – Thank you for your patience, please bear with us just a little while longer, all of our team are working very hard to start providing Dental services at Stourcote Dental practice very soon . We have remained open to offer remote advice to our patients who have needed our help during the period of Government restrictions, along with the ability to complete remote antibiotic prescribing, had a patient required it. We have remained available to support our patients as best we can during these challenging times. During lockdown we have always made sure that there has been a member of our team to speak to our patients over the phone and give them reassurance and advice if they have had any problems. Our team have also been working extremely hard behind the scenes to make sure the practice is a perfectly safe environment for both our patients and themselves and we are very close to being at the stage where we feel happy to invite our patients back in to the practice for their appointments, in line with current guidance. But please be reassured that while you are waiting that little bit longer should you have any problems or concerns we are able to see you at our Worcester Street practice, we are at the end of the phone, please just call us. Please take care and we look forward to seeing you soon. From all the team at Stourcote Dental Practice.
June 2020 Update
June 24th 2020 Update
Thank you for following our journey through this difficult time, we have greatly appreciated your support. As you know the Government recently announced that Dental Practices can open from 8th June wherever possible. We obviously want to get back to care for our patients as soon as possible ,but it is imperative that we are completely prepared with all the relevant PPE and safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. These procedures and recommendations have continued to change on a regular basis with limited guidance. Unfortunately thousands of dental practices have all been trying to source PPE and train their teams at the same time with only a third of practices able to reopen on 8th June , since then resources are inevitably very stretched throughout our Dental and Healthcare system. With this in mind we have had to make the decision that we will need a little more time to prepare our team and practice for the new ways of working. Even though our door remains closed temporarily at the moment, we are still here to help, please do not hesitate to pick up the phone. We will do everything we can to assist you and source appropriate emergency care wherever possible. You can also message us on Facebook or fill out a form on our website. No questions are too small, we are here for you. We are doing everything we can to open as quickly as possible and to resume safe and effective provision of dentistry. We will keep you informed and look forward to seeing you very shortly. Thank you from all the Team

Unfortunately thousands of dental practices have all been trying to source PPE and train their teams in the same week and resources are inevitably very stretched throughout our Dental and Healthcare system. A Message for all our Patients, A much-awaited announcement was made last night (28th May) by the Chief Dental Officer Sara Hurley. Dental Practices can start to open from 8th June. This is fantastic news for all of the team at the practice, it has been a very difficult time for everyone and we thank our patients for their understanding and for the many messages of support during lockdown, it has meant such a lot to us all. As you know patients safety has always been our key priority and we have been working on a “back to work” plan to ensure we have all the correct PPE and safety procedures in place just as soon as possible and we will do everything within our power to work towards this date for our reopening and will keep all of our patients updated on a regular basis. We are sure you will understand that we are doing everything we can to get to all our patients who need us just as soon as possible. We have a clear pandemic plan and additional protocols to follow. We will make sure that our re-opening is safe, effective and prioritises the most urgent needs. You will appreciate that after 10 weeks of closure, we have already been contacted by patients who are now in desperate need. We will prioritise the relief of pain and want to see everyone as soon as we can. You will notice changes in the way the practice now needs to operate following the reopening. We will ensure that we contact the patients with urgent needs initially and will provide all patients with clear advice and guidance before visiting the practice to ensure a smooth transition into the new procedures. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.
May 22nd 2020 Update
May 22 2020 Update
The team at Stourcote Dental Practice would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding during the Corona virus pandemic, as we all know it has been an unprecedented and extremely difficult time for so many people. You will be aware that following the advice from the Department of Health and the Chief Dental Officer we had to close our doors temporarily at the end of March. Throughout our closure we have been touched by the positive comments and ongoing support of our patients and we want to answer some of your questions and keep you as updated as possible. The current update for Dental Practices is that they remain temporarily closed for all routine and emergency treatments. However, the team are still here at the end of the phone. Most businesses have had to adapt the ways they operate, and we have done just this, right from the day of lock down. We have been providing advice and support, temporary filling and cementation kits, prescribing antibiotics where and when it is necessary. For all our registered patients when face to face treatment is the only option, we are referring to Urgent Dental Centres. We are and will continue to have our patient’s dental welfare and safety as our first concern. We know it is essential to follow Government advice and to do our part in reducing the spread of Corona Virus. Looking after the health of our patients, staff and the general public is of paramount importance and we continue to take every precaution to protect our patients and our team. With this in mind we wanted to explain that as soon as we are able to reopen, which we hope will be very soon, we will be in touch to let our patients know. You are important to us – you are part of our practice family, the team at the practice are here to help in any way we can. If you are isolating and need urgent assistance, please call, or email us and we will be happy to help wherever possible. Once again, we thank you for your support and understanding, take care and we look forward to seeing you as soon as possible. We can also assure you when the practice reopens, your experience may be slightly different due to personal protective equipment and a slightly different environment, which I’m sure you will understand for the near future this will become the new normal experience in all dental practices . Please be reassured that we will be working longer hours and extra sessions to make sure we fulfil our commitment to our patients. Stay safe and healthy. Our best wishes to you and your families.
Coronavirus Update 23/03/20
