Supporting Children’s Literacy in Stourbridge: Our Fundraiser for Dudley Children’s Book Group

At Stourcote Dental Practice we’re always looking for ways to give back to our local community. That’s why we’re excited to be supporting the brilliant work of Dudley Children’s Book Group – and we’d love for you to get involved too.

This special fundraiser was inspired by one of our wonderful patients, Ros, who also happens to be the Chair of the Book Group. When she told us more about the amazing work they do to promote children’s literacy across the West Midlands, we knew we had to help.

So, we’ve set up a “pay what you can” book corner right here in our Stourbridge dental practice. We’re donating a growing collection of books for patients to browse and take home – all we ask is that you leave a donation for whatever amount you’re able to give. Every penny raised goes directly to the Dudley Children’s Book Group, helping them continue their fantastic work with local schools, families, and young readers.

The group isn’t just about books – they regularly host high-profile events and guest speakers, bringing stories to life in exciting ways. Their next speaker is none other than Alexander Armstrong, well known for his TV work and passion for storytelling. Events like these inspire young readers and bring the magic of books to our community.

We’re also accepting gently used book donations, so if you’ve got any books you’d like to pass on, please bring them in during your next visit.

We’re proud to be part of such a caring and creative community here in Stourbridge, and especially proud of Ros and all she’s achieved. Whether you’re donating a book, picking one up, or simply spreading the word, thank you for helping us support children’s reading in the West Midlands.
